June Counterfeit Kit Challenge - Way Out West

The June Counterfeit Kit Challenge is to pick one of the Basic Grey collections.  I chose the South Pacific Collection for my inspiration this month.

I started with the large flower paper as I have a few sheets of that by an unknown maker, I thought would be a great replacement for the large flowers in the collection. After that I just added a couple more colors in the red, then pulled out some cardstock to go with the pattern paper.

Paper:
DCWV - Travel Stack; Pop Culture - Feather Boa; Unknown pattern paper - 3 sheets; Pink Paislee - House of 3 "Daily Junkque" Tickets and News
DCWV: Chalkboard Stack - Black, Blue and Green (not shown)

The kit also has stickers, journaling cards and stamps

So I pulled out a couple of stamp sets and some dies to help make the embellishments as I go.

Stamps: 7 gypsies - Collections from the journey is really close the their Bon Voyage and Enjoy the Journey sets from Basic Grey. I've also added in the Fiskars - Notes stamp set for some journaling spots.  then for some dies I added the Sizzix - Life made simple die set and Papertrey Ink - Monthly moments "tabbed".

I added a few embossing folders to the pile Tim Holtz Alterations - ticket, Umbrella Man, Postal and wood grain. From my DIY I already have some pre - punched flowers and birds,  I'll add a few ribbons, buttons and die shapes that I have no idea where they came from.  I also have a sheet of Luxe - To Die For "Jotters" that will be added to the pile (that's them in the bottom broken apart.

I didn't add any alphabets as I was planning on making my titles with the Cricut Cartridge Old West and the Papertrey  Type Strips stamp and die set.  I'm also including the Cricut Cartridge Paper Lace I and II as I want to make some kind of stencil to replace the Basic Grey Floral Wallpaper stamp.

Thanks for stopping by.

I really like your kit - I can definitely see how you were inspired by South Pacific and yet it's completely your own. Those bright florals are very pretty and I like the variety of embellishments you added, especially the stamps and the embossing folders.
